Reckless

Reckless

Reckless sometimes is my path.

I was deep in thought,

considering my task,

discerning, then...

"the hell", I said

"to hell", I said.

I jumped.

It's done now,

my chosen fall.

Now it's time

to deal with it all.

Try to steer that reluctant beast.

Land in a crash controlled at least,

Get up if I can, broken by then,

Heal my wounds and begin again.

Feel the tingle of the decision I made.

To jump without a moment delayed.

And now I reap that which I sowed.

Never once regretting the effort bestowed.

I would do it again

even with

the wisdom I've gained.

Reckless abandon

is how I've trained.
