Poem -

Red

For a girl
The world burned red
And she had nails and chainsaws
Cutting up her head.
And she was
Alone
In a world
Filled with friends
But she pushed them away
Saying
"no, not again"
The words.
they ate her
And the bad ones
Diminished the good
And I promise you
She tried
Did everything she could
But her heart needed a home
Not a place with windows and shutters
They didn't care though
They took that away
So she couldn't be alone
Or rest
Or just shut out the world
So she
Took a razor
And let the world
Slip
Out
Through her wrists...
