The Slow Runner
I didn't do it for competition
That never was my mission
I didn't live for vain ambition
That wasn't my position
If I had a vision
it was only for greater fusion
For a world of peace: a benign delusion
A clear fresh start for all
with less confusion
A solid ground on which to foster union
