Reflections on life

Reflecting,
Eternally,
Contemplating.
Forever,
For us all,
Death is our final fate,
That lays in waiting...
So forget the ifs',
The whys’,
The Hows',
The what?
And concentrate on your life,
That is so utterly amazing.
Ok,
My kids are crazy,
And sometimes wild,
But they all remind me of me,
When I was a ‘sweet' chubby child.
The good thing though,
Is that compared to me,
I was too spicy,
Whereas they are nicely mild.

Reflecting, 
Referring,
To each stage of their lives.
Remembering,
Each and every single one,
Of each of their smiles.
Their happiness to me is paramount,
Each step,
Each leap,
Each mile.
I’ll be there,
Just managing to keep up,
In my bright pink wheelchair.
But for you boys,
Even a million miles isn’t enough.
I would do infinity times more,
Just to get,
To my boys,
that I love so much and adore!

Reflecting,
Not knowing in life,
Which demons need deflecting.
As a parent,
No matter your child’s age,
You’ll always,
Be protecting.
Prospecting,
For my boys future,
Whilst they’re at school,
Knowledge collecting.
Caring,
Loving and nurturing,
That you’ll always see.
See my kids,
Are the best a father,
Could ever hope to be.
They are my namesake,
And we 4,
Are the last to be able to spawn,
For the great Bevan,
family tree!

Reflecting,
Objecting,
As Now onto thinking of me,
It's truly devastating,
When you hear the struggles,
That in my life,
I’ve had to lead.
To me though,
I just keep smiling,
As I’m still here,
As I live and breathe.
I love this life,
But without the pain and suffering,
I never want to take,
 my final leave...

Reflecting on my life and my children of 3.
They are all individually special,
And mean the world and more to me.
My kids are always going to be there,
Continually,
Keeping me happy,
Eternally,
No ‘ifs',
No ‘buts',
I'll always be happy with my lot in life,
Unquestionably!
