REFLECTION (ONE YEAR ON)

A year ago today the country went into lockdown 
Every city every person every town 
It's now a time to reflect on what a year it's been
The like of which that has never been seen 

Reflect and give thanks to all the medical staff 
The loved ones lost no longer causing a laugh
I am grateful to receive my first jab 
Thankful to a scientist in a lab 

Normality will return again I know once more 
Positivity is the key word that's for sure 
Until then take a moment for self reflection 
Still treat a fellow human with love and affection
