Reflections

Maybe I drank too much Cola
and I've got a Sugar buzz
Couldn't stop laughing.,
and I want that for us.
When I meet you..
you will know and I...Β
we will be as friends
from day one.
Not all this contrived shite..
I was remembering with
my childhood mate..
when we had the notion
to join The St John's Ambulance Brigade..
A week before they went
to Skeg... fifty years later
its as funny as FLUFF..
but at the time we were gutted..
Not to go..
and again when we were 8 or 9..
we peddadled on our lowly bikes
to the local air show.. must have
done 20 miles.. and conned our
way in..by following adults..
and nobody knew..
I had a puncture outside South Yorkshire, and I went into the
Caravan place.. Asked for a bowl
of water.. mended it myself..
I do so hate girlie girls
Im not one of them.. Sorry
The only problems is..
Our parents never believed
we went to Finningley Air Show
on our own.. How could we..?
So now we sat at the bar and laughed
like banshees... and they didn't know
what was tickling us..
and there's someone out there..
who doesn't expect me to be perfect
and wear fat padded bras that I hate..
To sit ladylike and eat my dinner as
if I'm a distinguished member of state,Β  or eat my greens and always
do what's expected..
That poor bugars in for a shock..

I was reliving it last night.Β  I would have knocked the block off my kids if they had done what I did (verbally) . we do it in innocence.. Cheers.. X

Just thought, I drive to Finningley now (RobinHood) how ever did I bike there as a child. . Then again we used to happily walk miles... without a care
