Remember

Remember how I walked the streets back home,

Remember how we never wished to say goodbye so always left silently,

Remember how I never got over you, never learned to forget,

The song that reminds me of you says life's waiting to begin,

I often imagine my arrival at your door, would you let me in,

There is a sinking in my heart that says words will never heal,

I write to you for fear of my end, I write through fear,

I smile despite the agony, I write because I cant say these things aloud,

Nothing will hold you down in a world of tiny drops,

Remember you're the drop I choose over all the others,

A multitude of drops cast aside to get your attention,

A kid against this world has finally found what isn't there,

These words will make no sense to you but you read them & you care.
