Remember the days we used to play,

Do you remember when flowers fell like rain during autumn storms,
Can you still feel the chill of our first snow,
Remember the heat of the summer fires,
Is it so hard to remember the dazzling colours of spring?

Can you remember the strength of our limbs,
Remember when we ran so fast we were almost flying,
Remember tumbling down dirty ditches,
Do you still remember how sweet the flowers used to smell,
Or how sparkling white the snow used to look,
Or even how cold and fresh the bubbling springs used to taste?

Do you remember the clear days before the burning acrid smoke,
Can you still hear the melodic songs of the forest before the rumbling machines,
Do you still see the bright green trees,
Can you still taste the fresh crunchy snow?

Remember when we were so full of energy,
Remember when we felt like kings,
Did you forget the warm feeling of snuggling through the frozen winter nights?
