Remnants of the sun

Remnants of the sun

Cry for me

Upon these steps steep

Look up

Near the church

Walking upon these cobbled streets

Through the once woods

Now mere concrete pourings

Cry for me

There is no soul left

Only man made hate

Look upward to the sun

Through the glass walls

The noise is deafening

I am but

Dying in the noise of a truck

Bring back my rock and mud

Today is a blue sky

Tomorrow a dead sun

Motorbike motor

Across this dead road

Where are my trees

That once reached for the sky

Cry for me

The earth left on its own, and

A soul left in remnants of the sun

My goodness JAI MASTERS!!.... this is straight up impeccable perspective......a beautiful summation of the loss of beauty ........this is truly fine poetry......a continuity of sadness called to the forefront by glimpsing that which has been taken away from the soul of the already accepted beauty that surrounds us....... and the fact that man is not taking careful care of the abundance afforded him before his birth into this existence...... stunning work brother poet!!...... can't help but applaud this one !!.......PINNED.......I'm diggin' your ink my friend!!.......LOVE and ROCKETS!!.....T xo

Pity I write of earth problems

as we dwindle away in the concrete jungle.
