Remote Control

Remote Control

It seems like I am locked away
in their cell/phone,
desires for connection alienated,
compartmentalized and overlooked,
Android reaching out to iPhone,
differences devaluing my divinity
on diverging trajectories.
These many blue and green bubbles,
floating into clouds filled with robotic things,
forming and popping mid-air,
proximate yet incompatible,
tethered to Afterthought.
Misalignment
beyond darting eyes and scrolling thumbs,
holding devices far from longing hearts
to get a closer look through lust-blind eyes,
unwilling to see deeper.
This 3-D world won't ever surface
I could have been
their soul mate, their flesh-to-flesh lover,
the unrecognized blessing delivered by God.
So,
before they gave me my own special ring tone,
and edited my image to add emoji hearts next to it,
I had already Swiped Left
to log off and clasp onto
a warm, human hand that reached out
to me
to the God in me
to the righteous potential of my yet
to the scars on my body she calls Beautiful...
in person.
DND.
