Resentful Lust

Resentful Lust

cut through my strength
and make it spent,
my time, my space
to you I lent.

now we're apart,
return my heart
retrace your steps
and let me vent.

I was no saint,
but still deserved
the loyalty placed in your words.

you've served your use
and now i choose
a picture frame
without your name.

your double standard
double life
your double edged
backstabbing knife.

will shred your heart
like those you've maimed
the men you've tamed
and those you've claimed.

you shall remain, throughout your life
confused, abused as no man's wife.
