Resident of sorrow

Resident of sorrow

My Eyes open slowly in there attempt to wake.

Its a blur but I'm sure

This is the same old room at the same old place.

Not much to see and the sounds are worse yet

As I listen to rains depressing drip

misery tightens its already firm grip.

From the moment night before's somber ends

Its dreams my days chase

as I dream of nothing but sleep again.

I've lived while I've lost

I've cried from that thought.

When I wake the pain is instant

With sleeps return all pain all forgot.

Sadness is all I feel for Tomorrow

So long as today

I remain a resident of sorrow.

I love the masterpiece in which you created. The depth of pain & sorrow is felt in your words. That doesn't come easy or often. Well done.
