Restlessness

Restlessness
Creeping thru the corridors
In the middle of the night
She ties her waist belt on her dressing gown
To keep her snug & tight
It is rather chilly
Heating hasn’t turned on yet
It doesn’t come on till 6 am
Coz thats the way that it is set
Feeling sleepy but disturbed
She decided to make a brew
Hasn’t had any sleep at all
Only a wink or two
But thats usual for this woman
So it is nothing that is new
Poor Agnus Rogerson
She doesn’t know what to do
Her active brain is just a pest
Theres always things on her mind
She can’t relax, seldom does rest
Must be in her genes I think you’ll find
Its such a lonely world
In the dead of the night
She stares out of the dew glass window
The big old moon is shining bright
Oh how she adores the skyÂ
On a crisp, clear night, nearly dawn
It won’t be long till birds awakeÂ
They sweetly sing early morn
Now shes sipped her cup of tea
Rubbing her eyes, giving a yawn
I think my bed beckons me
She tells herself feeling forlorn
