Retro Psych

Lost my coins on spinning vinyl

I tried soooo damn hard

Struggled and stretched my imagination

Leaned my shoulder in with all my might

To derail 1980s ghosts on the dodgem track

But the neon sparks came back

The pads in square suits

The dollar signs on chains

And mullets that scream thug masculinity

Boots and spikes for wannabe gladiators

Gamer fantasies melting life into a soup of plastic dreams

Corporate greed has risen from once buried pyramid schemes

Towers go up in phallic domination over raped racers races faces

Earth's glory paraded like a high class hooker on the cat walk

Her children the subjects of tasteless art

And the worst part

The pop music sux this time round

How do I get back to the underground

Or bring the 60s back round
