Reunited

My dearest Son my Martin, we’ve had differences in our past;

But now we’ve taken a new sacred oath, that our love will ever last!

I’m sure it won’t be easy, for we’ve clashed so many years;

But I feel the sincerity of both our pledges, has alleviated all my fears!

For I am so very fortunate, to have you for my Son;

And I feel a new beginning, our new lives have just begun!

Although nine hundred miles apart now, in a few months we’ll be side by side;

To claim what has ‘eer been there for both of us, and end these tears we’ve cried!

I’m passing you the crown now, you are the families’ new regal king;

I will remain your loyal subject, and strive for happiness our family bring!

I’ve loved you since your first breath, my one begotten son;

But passions come now to our fruition, our blessed era has begun!
