Reveille.

Reveille.

Pink, white blossoms
Droop and drop,
Signal the end to Spring’s
display.
Sequin the paths
and walkways,
Awaiting summer,
Blushing goodbye to May.
Upon balding branches,
Chirping buglers call;
A lamentation of their loss,
As silk flakes fall.
