Once lived a quarter of my life and I was headed to the penny
With my share of ups and downs, and more downs than many
I was told nothing comes to a sleeper but a dream
And that's the same thing I am preaching to everyone that I meet
In order to reach heaven, one must live through hell
And when you reach those 12 gates, have a story to tell
I don't have to many people, that I trust but I keep more frienemies that don't give a fuck
Relationships, I layed them down like tile
Plus, my baby mother took the life of my child
And my childhood was nothing but mean
My grandma died at 10 and mom abandoned me at 13
But I stayed in school and graduated with A's
Satin was the controller and ended up being played
Sometimes I hate living this life of mine
So I pray every night to my God in the skies
