Poem -
In a rich Man's world
Is it paper that creates hunger?
Or is it the belief?
Is it paper that makes bones crumble?
And blackening, the crooked teeth
Is it paper that causes thirst?
Or the hand that grips?
Is it paper that kills?
Induces disease, poisonous lips
Is it paper that promotes greed?
Or the power it possesses
Is it paper that we all desire?
To relieve all our stresses
Is it paper that changes lives?
Or is it who gave?
Is it paper that makes us happy?
NO, it’s just the life which we crave!

Thankyou, i'm doing A level English lit and we are reading the great Gatsby, and one thing we got told was that we don't want money, we want the happiness that comes with it, but the characters in this book just want money to basically show off and that is why they are unfulfilled in their life even though they are rich and have everything. Anyway, thanks for commenting it really does mean a lot, and i'm the same :D

Nice write Rach, with you on this one!! Lack of money may be a great source of unhappiness, but money certainly can't make you happy. Otherwise there wouldn't be so many miserable celebrities lol!!! Wouldn't mind the lifestyle though :)
No I can't deny the lifestyle, it would be amazing, but having a lot of money scares me in case it changes me and how I think. I would like to have enough money to live comfortable and without worry, but being mega rich would make me feel guilty and terrible becaue i'm there living this lavish lifestyle where children across the wold are starving, dieing of thirst and have no health care. But being comfortable and doing things fo charity, I think would be a great lifestyle. I don't want to sound saintly, in fact I think its more slfish because I don't want to feel guilty lol, but thanksfor commenting, everyone is really nie on this website and commenting and just reading my poems is just a really nice feeling and I never expected anyone to do so
