RIDE THE WILD WIND

Oh wind
You wear such frenzy well
Your thundering beasts
spewed straight from hell
The church bells clang to
warn of rage
A north wind show in full
Rampage

I watch the trees bow,
supplicanct
Beg pity from your wicked lust
Offer quick, their coloured
coats
Of amber rusts and reds and
golds

And still, oh wind, your thirst
unquenched
You rage around the hills, hell
bent
Churning rivers, prodding
sheep
On the ponies mane's, a wrath
you heep

and roar
As you rise the oceans
High to shore
Tossing boats, just because
You can
Great king of air and sea and
land

And all the while you roar and
groan
Scatter children
Off back home, and
Lift up hats and whip high
scarfs
As you rage and rant and gust
and laugh

Oh wind
You wear your frenzy well
Your beasts a'thundering
Straight from hell, and
I doff my cap and stand in
awe, as
You fell me with your unseen
paw

For wind, I do not turn and flee
I'm emboldened with a manic
glee
As I watch the wild beasts
swirling high
Shreding clouds that dare to
fly

For wind
My soul yearns loud to flee
I embrace all that you are to
me
For I ache to sing your
symphony
Oh, to ride your raging beasts
So wild and free
