RIP GERRY MARSDEN

What a tragic and upsetting way to start the year
Gerry Marsden singer of the sixties is no longer here
Regarded quite rightly as Liverpool's favourite son
His time on this earth is now unfortunately done

So many hit songs for this very likeable man
"You'll never walk alone" sung by every Liverpool fan
"Don't let the sun catch you crying" a wonderful song
When Gerry sang he could in my eyes do no wrong

Married to his wife Valerie for fifty five years
So many memories she'll have for souvenirs
Taking the "Ferry across the Mersey" I'll think of you
RIP Gerry Marsden a good man kind and true

The fish of the sea

I feel like we have lost a lot of great people this year.. it's so very tragic... I never knew he sang those wonderful songs. Amazing tribute Kieran. Peace and smiles always. Your friend Max
