RIP PICKLES

It is with a heavy heart I write this tale
Something that will make you cry and wail
Britain's oldest swan has passed away
Pickles was thirty when he died today

He lived at Leeds Castle which is in Kent
Where he was both happy and content
Treated like royalty Pickles still could fly
How sad then that it was his turn to die

On June the third of this most awful year
A seed cake for Pickles to bring him cheer
So fly high Pickles on your final flight
You were without doubt a beautiful sight
