RIP QUEEN ELIZABETH

So the Queen's reign ended in the rain today
Will touch people worldwide I have to say
Though I'm not a royalist it's still very sad news
Charles now King will have to fill very big shoes

Masses of people will be crying so many tears
Hard to imagine a sovereign for seventy years
She was our country's rock and our mainstay
Always dependable whatever month, year or day

So a new era for my country is about to start
The Queen has no doubt touched many a heart
Going forwards it will now be God Save the King
Who knows what this new sovereign will bring
