Rising Sun

Rising Sun

As the sun rises, it's colors flood the waters.
Looking to the east, it steals
away all that you believe matters.
Your apprehension , your regret, your trepidation.
The beauty in which you see; reaffirming your aspiration.
Tears flood my wonderous eyes.
As I offer all my questions
to the fire in the skies.
Everything within me
I try to set free;
the condemnation, the anger, my powerlessness.
Yet still I attempt to understand what happen
to my fearlessness.
As I look on over the ocean, orange, yellow, crimson red;
They glorious colors dance in the waves, w
with them taking the negativity I embed.
The silence,
the peace sweeps over my being.
Clear minded, I begin
to understand their meaning.
With each passing day we are tested;
with constraints that were unexpected.
As the sun continues to rise;
a new day, a new surprise.
It is for me to determine
 what I can or cannot take.
It is for me to remain strong; make no mistake.
As the sun rises,
my soul and mind
now empowered.
I will no longer be a coward.
I will face all with great determination.
My family look to me for my enduringness and inspiration.
As the sun rises and as it sets,
For all my loved ones, I will attempt to do my best.
