River Of Love's Offering
In the gentle lighting of my mind
The stage is set
And antediluvian Gods do speak
Through the creeks and rivers
Wearing away
At the smooth surfaces
That allow for personal pressures
To justify the succumbing to
Thousands of years
Of spiritual waves
Crashing and splashing consistently
Unrelentingly
Upon the Baptizer's banks
Of holy grounds
And watery rituals
Promising
That eternity's loving embrace
Is not death at all
But love's
Intricacies and surprises
Which call forth
The smiles
Of the truly
Passionate
Comprehension
Of the unconditional love
Offered
