RIVER TO PARADISE
Within the gentle lighting of the mind
A proscenium stage is set
Where antediluvian Gods do speak
Through the creeks and rivers
Wearing away
At the smooth surfaces
That allow for personal pressures
To justify the succumbing to
Thousands of years
Of spiritual waves
Splashing consistently, unrelentingly
Upon the baptizers banks
Of Holy Grounds
And watery rituals
Promising
That eternity's loving embrace
Is not death at all
But love's
Intricacies and surprises
That call forth
The smiles
Of truly
Passionate
Understanding
Of
What it takes
To enter
Paradise...

The Holy journey from the living...
to "Eternal Life"
My dad use to always say;
There is sorrow in birth, but joy in death. It took me a long while to figure out what that meant. But your imagery
(in my mind) was one of a sacred journey, a passage of rite. One that has been travelled by our ancestors and theirs before them. But this time, the journey is ours. I felt the exhilleration, the anticipation of knowing that I was experiencing what my ancestors experienced before me, but with a little fear and trepidation of facing the great unknown. This is what I experienced through your beautiful, vivid imagery!
I don't think I'm ready for that journey just yet, but wow- you took me there!
