Road to Success
I recognize the path I take,
It molds my life in many ways,
As choices made reflect each step,
To fall, to rise, or have regrets.
When facing hills to climb instead,
I pray not fears to then be led,
But celebrate as a success,
Those moments cheering, not detest.
When looking at what's left behind,
My road ahead can't be defined,
But rather hard to comprehend,
This trip as worth it in the end.
I hope to say I took some time,
Appreciating little strides,
To find the joy as feet would lead,
Reward to finding victory.

Hello, Denise.
The murdered boyfriend of Jodi Arias named was Travis Alexander was once quoted as having said the following:
"The difference between a Stumbling Block and Stepping Stone is the Character of the individual walking the path."
To me this is a lesson learned that any of us no matter what lot we have been given in life, can, like the Phoenix rise from out of the ash and accomplish absolutely anything that we choose to. All that is required is that we acknowledge what we have and the source of where it comes. Once we have done that our own limbs become unbound and we become free to do and have anything.
Nicely penned, as always.
