meetings to attend
Collecting kids from school
car punctured tyres to mend

Popping for your shopping
to your nearest supermarket store
so you drive off to the town
 it’s not an errand you adore

Seeking out your shopping from the list upon your phone
but you’ve deleted it by accident
now the list is gone you groan

So you search amidst the aisles
trying to look for inspiration
you’ve remembered all the necessities for your Husband’s birthday celebration

The supermarket trolley is full to the brim
Infact there’s far too much in it
the total amount  will be grim

Yet it’s only once a week that you do this routine run
Hell’s bells that’s enough
It’s not your idea of fun

So you zap your stuff thru the checkout at the self service till
There’s an error at the end,
machine’s on overkill

Well you’ve waited twenty minutes
with the beacon flashing red
Doesn’t going for your weekly shop
mess with your head :(

At last the lady comes wearing her green overall
She tells you “Sorry for your waiting but I was answering a call”

Well although you’ve zapped the lot she does it all again
She’s as slow as a snail
‘Oh my God’ what a pain

Finally almost done most of your shopping is through
“Dammit” there are barcodes missing
You have created a long queue
