Roller coaster

Will I forever be wrapped up in these chains of sorrow?

Will this darkness fade, will there be light tomorrow?

I am drowning in a pool of tears.  Unable to release these unrelenting fears.

For a precious moment there appears a glimmer of hope, but then the storm

clouds roll in, and I can no longer cope.

I am riding a roller coaster with all it's twists and turns, I am engulfed in flames

and left scarred with invisible burns.

Held hostage by dreadful thoughts in my mind.

Haunted by past memories never able to leave behind.

Will I ever again find peace?

Will this intolerable pain ever cease?

These demons from within I soon hope to erase, and wake up to feel sunshine upon my face.
