ROOFTOP WONDER
Jupiter, in the night sky,
Hanging low
In the telescope
Of my minds eye,
I lay back
On my rooftop lounger
And find awe,
In the blanket stars
Above...
I wonder when
The other life forms
From other
Galaxies
Will reveal themselves,
It will be soon
My soul
Can tell...
I wonder the impact
On religious
Sects,
On history as a whole,
On epithets,
On scientific
Interpretations,
It will be soon,
My soul,
Can tell...
Man, never so often deceived
Waits the arrival
Of a father
Or mother,
Who can hold him steady
To a truth conceived
Until,
He has made it
His own...
It will be soon
My soul,
Can tell...
I wonder,
How time
Will be affected,
When we learn
To travel
Beyond,
The speed of light
Beyond,
Our own self
Interests,
It will be soon

I've always loved that Carl Sagan quote. I'm also interested in astronomy, only today scientist have confirmed the high possibility of water on the moon.
Great write, we are living in exciting times with regard to astronomy. Alien life would have a great impact on religious sects as you mention above.

Anyway just wanted to say...I never did believe that some men made these fantastic ancient civilisations with a bit of rock, sand water, earth no wheels or tools...lol.
