Roses
When I die wrap me in roses
With love on my wrist
And my hand on my heart
Kiss me one more time
So I’ll know I was loved
And tell me you’ll dream of me always
Try to save me every night
As lovers do when love is timeless
And the hearts no longer beat as one
Ask that I visit you often
In night time visions when you’re restless
And the bed just seems too big
If love can live past death
Then you know that I’ll survive
Cos even in my death, my love for you is alive.

Thank you again Jason. I went to a funeral this week. He was only 39. Got me thinking about how I want my loved ones to feel when I pass.

This is a lovely piece. Thank you so much for trying to participate, but like I told Loran Dorf, I prefer the entries to be new. It is quite beautiful though. I may extend my time to put up the results due to the hurricane being in my area, so you may have more time to put up a new poem.
