Roses

Roses

In the beginning of my life.
It was a time for floribundas.
masses of roses everywhere.
all the world blew breezes
that tasted of perfumed roses.
Breathing sun blessed roses

There was a time
of such innocence.
a time of confidences.
the water fell from the rain
into the streams
flowing tides of red roses.

Now hear the night
summer winds.
Rustle through the gardens.
See it move the petals
feel it kiss your cheeks.
The color of the light
is tainted in roses.

There is a time
to live, to burst,
to swell and bloom.
I am she and she is me
A time to plant.
A time to reap
Embracing forever
on a bed of roses.
