RUN NOW CRY LATER

Ā
Run now cry later that's what mum said to me
She wanted me to escape and hoped I'd be free
I listened to mum and then started to runĀ
Not my idea of what I would call lots of funĀ

Where to run at the moment had no ideaĀ
Bombs overhead my legs trembled with fearĀ
Still I kept running looking out for a safe placeĀ
Holes underground had very limited spaceĀ

I finally stopped running a hiding place I found
Found a hole just hope it won't be a burial ground
Sure enough which was forecasted by mum
The tears on my face now started to come
