Run rabbit run as fast as you can
Theres a long rifle gonna shoot you
It’s in the arms of a man
He has you in the scope down the barrel of his gun
This bloke doesn’t want you he’s only having fun

So gallop like a gazelle thru the long ripe corn
You have your partner doe rabbit
With baby ‘kits’ ready to be born
You are needed in the warren to provide warmth & food
Don’t let him have his sport
Nor his gratitude

You are one of God’s little creatures
With a deserving right to be here
Grazing on Mother nature’s lands
Looking cute for the sightseer

Throughout your travels take great care
Watch out for the huntsman
He will be out searching somewhere
With his long lean gun & his tackety boots
Get out of his way if you hear the shoots

He is on a hunt to catch rabbits
With a mission to attack
He won’t give you a second thought with a bullet in your back
