Poem -

A Sad Love Story

You tucked me in at night,

You snuck into the theater with me,

You stood by me through all the tears,

You told me every bone in your body loves me,

You proposed to me with a diamond sparkler.

We had things unsaid,

We had arguments,

We had an empty relationship,

We had messed up everything,

We had been less and less attracted to each other,

We had gone our separate ways.

The only place I saw him was the saloon,

The place we first met seemed like nothing,

The bed just seemed plain and out of shape,

The pictures we had together looked strange,

The rest of me forgot the memories we shared,

The man I once knew is gone.

This is the way its supposed to be, My new man and me in one end, your woman and you on the other end.
