Sad Mad Man

Sad Mad Man

It’s overwhelming isn’t it?
The madness within his heart
Is pure innocence wrapped in barbed wire
He is doomed to forever walk through fire

And always alone

No one goes near him
Most fear him
No matter how hard he tries
He is overcome by misery and sadness
And others avoid him
So as not to catch his madness
Surely if he could take off and fly away
He would but no
He remains restrained and misunderstood
Others cast him away for his thoughts
He is a dreamer most are not
He prefers his own world
Still he has a cursed heart
And the worst part is that the only time
Peace exists for him is when he is sleep

This one spoke to me. I love the darker poems, raw, get right down to it. Brutal truth. Bare it all. The last line is great and I am with you on that.
