You have been all that I ever longed for
You were the lifeline to pull me to shore
When I was drowning in depths of misery
You pulled me from the waves to save me !

When life constantly tossed me to and fro
You were the one who I needed to know
You cared when so many others sailed by
Making sure my hopes and dreams didn't die !

Safe in port with much to make me happy
When a storm blew, you brought harmony
A calmness finally exists now you are here
Suddenly, murky waters have become clear !

Feelings I harbour for you I can not contain
Without you, nothing would have been the same
From where I am all is seen with a different view
I'm grateful you set a course for me steady and true !
