A Sailor's Light

 i was lost in a sea of emotions

Crashing in all around me

Anger, pain, fear, alone

I felt I had no hope of surviving

Day and night I was tossed around

Slammed, broken, lost

But by the love of God I was sent some relief

A Sailor's light of love and kindness came shining through

A single ray of sunshine that gave me hope and faith for a future

I still have rocky days and nights are filled with darkness

But once in a while I get that Sailor's light that shines bright

Leading me to safety, even for a while

Much love and kindness, caring glow of light helps ease the pain

I will always hold that Sailor and his light in my heart

For he leads me to safe waters
