SAILORS SAYINGS

These sayings were not discovered on dry land 
Thought of by sailors on seas so fine and grand
In deep water they were out of their comfort zone
No one they could turn to and no one to phone

I guess one could say that they were all at sea 
Three sheets to the wind some happened to be
Left high and dry in this most difficult situation 
Sailing close to the wind is my interpretation 

However dear friends I must not rock the boat 
All hands on deck would get my casting vote 
It's time like these you must not abandon ship
Learn the ropes and don't let things slip
