Salad Plates

The profuse portrayal of colors mingled perfectly

A tie-dye of splendor creates infatuating glee

The intricate purple stain of the beets

And the crimson secretion of the strawberry treats

The pink portrait of the cherry or raspberry whip

And the numerous shades of orange left by the dressing extra drip

It is my job so I must destroy

The complicated rainbow that reflects simple joy

The spray of rain washes away

My fascination I'll find another day
