SALLY AND FRIENDS

SALLY AND FRIENDS

Phelgm on the street and sick on the floor
Sally is ready to face the day once more
While you tuck into your breakfast of eggs
Think of Sally as she steals and begs

Tatty clothes on her back worn out shoes on her feet
As she lies huddled in newspaper on a busy street
Sally I'm afraid to say is not the only one
There is also Billy, Charlie, Rosie and John

The salvation for this band of five
Is a bottle they pass round to keep them alive
Yesterday's disused pizza in a overstuffed bin
For Sally and friends this is certainly a win

Homeless people should not happen in the world today
According to the politicians and rich anyway
But for Sally and friends the reality is plain to see
Once normal people now considered the dregs of society

The realism, the tone, the message...well done.
