Graced with salty solitude
a time of free and fearless

Horizons close

and land so far

At peace with all my meakness.

When skies are dark

and mind is too

the ocean holds no jury

Depth is vast

A great abyss 

Engulfed is doubt and sadness. 

Endless flow, as back and forth 

white horses run so freely 

A force so strong

Relentless strive

I long to tame its madness.

Piercing rain 

and wind that burns

I bask in peaceful chaos 

This time is mine!

Not for the take

Mayhem, laced with gladness.

When winds change

the calms arise 

Reward is mine for taking

The orange, purple, vast arrays

become the sky so flawless.

Blessed with salty solitude 

I'll never take for granted

my sanctuary

Within the surf

I reap untampered wholeness.
