sands of time .
He walked the road less traveled
With roses in his hand
Hoping with all his might
To find her within the sand
Not thinking of the glass
Surrounding time
If only the roads were easy
He'd find her
before the roses died
If only the roads were clean
He'd find her
before the Sands subside
He walked the road less traveled
Coming to a dead end
The glass upon his hand
At the very last bend
Only his reflection he could see
The fallen sand beneath his feet
Time had ended, complete
Rose's died, withered away
Time escaped,
moment's swept away
No more road to travel today
Fresh rose's again another day
Turned the hourglass around
And turned away
Seeking another pathway
Upon untraveled ground
In hopes that in the sands of time
That his love
will one day be found.
