SANDWICHES

Butter some bread and the decision will begin 
What filling or fillings shall I put within 
Cheese and tomato is totally dull and plain 
Don't really fancy ham and mustard again 

I could try jam for a real complete change 
Maybe try my own combo if not too strange 
There is of course the fishy option too 
Pilchards or sardines are tasty it's true 

You will be pleased to know the decision made
Something inside my bread was finally laid
I decided on gherkin and a slice of chicken roll
Will I hope keep hunger at bay and fill the hole
