"SAVORING THE DIVINE..."

There are things that draw men
To sensual longing
Then, there are things
That cause them to despise
The lust of the flesh
Sensual longing in the eyes,
And the basic
Pride, in life....

All these, draw men & women
To love the world,
But the pains and miseries
That come, from these desires
Give rise to a weariness
And hate-fueled fires
These sinful pleasures, gain control
With, puppeted wires
Then, they think it's sheer delight
To be caught
Among the briars
But, those men & women that
Recognize, beyond,
The din
That strive to live for God
With divine discipline
In the end,
Grow in Love's  superior
Experience,
And the divine sweetness
That
Can savor this Love
For, it's always there
In all of us
Always....
