Saying Goodbye

Saying Goodbye

Letting you go,
I whisper goodbye.
I utter the words,
Yet inward I cry.

I know it's the best,
A new day will be.
So why must I frown,
As this sets me free?

Fear grips my heart,
Not even sure why.
Maybe I'm weak,
Or is that a lie?

God will be there,
I won't be alone.
He is my strength,
The One I will hold.
