Poem -
A Scarred Heart
Hate, anger, those feelings are there
caused by ignorance, in despair
not realizing the damage long term, of course
assuming a child will always forgive? Horse S£*%!
Time and distance can be a dowfall
that you don't see coming, until the tears fall
The damage is done, you reap what you sew
your "teachings and lessons" don't matter anymore
A pain you never thought you'd never feel
so easy to push the knife into the flesh, God take the wheel
A heart so scarred, you'll never get through
She will grow into a young woman... Without you

Yes.. You're right Sparrowsong :) I wanted to make sure all of my children knew about God from an early age... Hoping that no matter what road they chose, if it happened to be the wrong one, they knew how to find their way back to the right one. I definately didn't want history repeating itself in one way or another...
