Scavenging rats ?

Scavenging for scraps
The city rat does roam
They do say they can be found
Within three feet of your home

Fancy that thought, I don’t like that idea
Vermon of the lowest form
Wrought with disease I fear

Always on the hunt
Never ever still
These horrid creatures with sharp teeth
Give everyone a chill

Is it the grey drab colour
Or could it be that long slim tail
But just the very sight of one
Scares the death of me without fail

Everywhere is hoaching with them
Though you always can not see
They gather where theres bins
There always running wild & free

Carrying fleas & rabies
So you better be aware
Keep on your guard, if you see one
Get well away from there

Modern society with closed lid bins
Surely must drive rats round the bend
At least they can’t feed from these
So always shut your lids I recommend

If theres a beast I do detest
It is the sneaky rat
I could never endear to this greyΒ
Rodent
I wish they were extinct & that is that!!
