School Life

It was the last day of school,
Some acted strong & others cool.
But I know how shattered they were inside,
While leaving  their favorite school.

I remember my first day,
I wanted to stay at my home.
But now while leaving the school,
My eyes feel swollen & my heart unwoven.

As days were carried on to years,
Many friends were added to each passing years.
The more time was spent together,
Memories were been added to memories,so quicker.

The aroma while opening our lunch boxes,
Has faded away in time.
But it hasn't gone away from our heads,
As we used to share our lunch in no time.

At the farewell party,
We all promised to ourselves.
That wherever we go, whatever we do,
We will meet to re-live those memories,ourselves.

But.. as the time washed away,
The promises got perished under our dreams.
And while achieving those dreams,
One lost his company of gems,
Which he can't ever retrieve.
