SCHOOL PRANKS NOW AND THEN

The school pranks of my day were innocent and fun
No names were called and no harm was ever done
Grass was put in a lunchbox I remember one time
Hardly punishable and was certainly no crime

I recall too how sand was put in a school bag
Snails in shoes would make you slow and lag
Let's not forget the stink bombs and water bombs too
Never thrown in the direction of me or you

Detention was given to those who got caught
A thousand lines and written on your report
Things today have changed for the worse
Where bullying and name calling are a curse
