The Sea of Life

Life is but a tidal wave;
never knowing when it will crash,
but loving the thrill of the ride.
As it picks up speed to slam on the shore,
you close your eyes and inhale the salt.
When the foam settles and all is calm again,
you get back on your feet, sand between your toes
look at the beautiful sea and whisper,
“I want to swim out again.”

Ashleigh!  I love the sea and can really relate to your write.  The sea seems to sings secrets and reveal enigmas as one walks the shore line.  Beautiful write!
